"Nie jestes sam" ("you are not alone")
The TVN Foundation "nie jestes sam" ("you are not alone") was established in May 2001 by TVN. The Foundation was created as a result of the involvement of journalists and reporters, who while gathering materials for television documentaries were confronted with cases of human suffering brought about by illness, poverty and loneliness. Through the TVN Foundation, they had a chance not only to show such tragic stories to the public, but also to have a positive impact on the lives of the people they portrayed.
Today, the TVN Foundation, which is presided by Bozena Walter, focuses its contributions on health and social services, and educational activities.
The TVN Foundation's emphasis on health and social services is primarily focused on providing support to people suffering from serious and incurable diseases and who are in need of expensive medical treatment. The TVN Foundation currently supports about 300 individuals, including adults and children. It supports a variety of projects that enhance the quality of life of disadvantaged people by covering the costs of therapeutic treatment, rehabilitation and they also provide social pensions.
The TVN Foundation also offers financial assistance to hospitals, orphanages, rehabilitation and medical centers. It co-finances the purchasing of special medical equipment, wheelchairs and medicine.
The TVN Foundation's interests in education and youth development mainly focus on providing support to particularly talented children and young adults who, due to their critical financial situations, are not able to develop their skills. In pursuing its goals in the educational area, "Nie jestes sam" provides scholarships, and organizes and supports educational events and tuition centers.
Some of the TVN Foundation's most successful campaigns are Zielone drzwi, Odnawiamy nadzieje and Zly dotyk.
