Grand Press 2007 - Journalists from TVN Uwaga have received the prestigious Grand Press 2007 award for the best TV reportage. Edyta Krzesniak and Igor Miecik were awarded for the broadcast of "Przepraszam za glod i chlod" ("I apologize for hunger and cold") about Kamisa a Chechenian woman telling about the death of her three daughters in the Bieszczady Mountains on their escape to Europe. Szymon Holownia, programming director of religia.tv received the Grand Press Award in the specialist journalism for his interview " Do you remember Hiob?". Among the highest ranked nominees for the title "Journalist of the Year 2007" were TVN 24 journalist Tomasz Sianecki, Grzegorz Miecugow and Bogdan Rymanowski. The portal TVN24.pl was the only Internet medium nominated for the award. The Grand Press awards cover a range of categories, from printed stories to radio and TV reporting, the survey is conducted since 1997 by the "Press" magazine. (December, 2007)

CIO of the Year 2007 - Tomasz Nitsch, Head of IT at TVN S.A. received one of two prices in the fifth edition of the CIO of the Year (Chief Information Officer) survey conducted by the CIO Club. The survey aims to identify and acknowledge Polish IT managers, who posses not only exceptional managerial skills but also a distinctive traits of having a leadership personality. (December, 2007)

The most popular journalist - Kamil Durczok, Monika Olejnik, Tomasz Sekielski and Andrzej Morozowski are among the most popular journalists according to UPC's Annual European Television Survey. Kamil Durczok has managed to top the list for the third consecutive year. Monika Olejnik, Tomasz Sekielski and Andrzej Mrozowski reached third place. UPC's European Television Survey conducted by Research International, the world's largest custom market research agency, seek to identify typical television behaviors and audience preferences and to define what role television plays in the life of European people. SDP Award - Journalists from TVN Uwaga have received awards from the 15th edition of the survey conducted by the Association of Polish Journalists. Anna Machowska was presented an honorary price in the category "publications on international affairs and problems" for her documentary "Za kolczastym drutem" ("Behind the barbed wire"). Bozena Golanowska was recognized in the category "publications on social issues" for her reportage "Dzieci z dworca" ("Children from a railway station"). Honorata Dawidowicz and Maciej Wojcik were awarded in the category "publications in investigative journalism" for their documentary "Ripped off by Tele 2". SDP awards, considered a Polish version of the American Pulitzer prizes, are given for journalistic materials which appeared either in print, on radio, on television and on the Internet. This year 276 publications were competing for the awards. (December, 2007)

Grand Prix Cracow Mountain Film Festival - the two films "Sciezka gory" ("The Mountain's Path") and "Karawana marzen" ("Dream Caravan") both directed by TVN journalist, Marek Klosowicz were honored during the fifth Cracow Mountain Film Festival by receiving the Grand Prix and the audience award, respectively. Both films were produced for Discovery Historia TVN channel. The Cracow Mountain Film Festival is the largest event of this kind in Poland. This years festival audience could enjoy both foreign and Polish productions, listing into conferences with famous hikers as well as participating in various television workshops and seminars on safety in the mountains. The Brown Archibald - TVN Med journalists were awarded in the first time survey "Scientific proofs? Yes, please." conducted by the Medical Technologies Evaluation Agency and the Cochrane Library under the auspices of the Ministry of Health. The journalists of TVN Med were presented the Brown Archibald statuette for an educational program "Anticoagulation treatment of atrial fibrillation" and a special award for a series of programs on diabetology. The survey "Scientific proofs? Yes, please." aims to recognize the authors for original materials introducing a scientific approach into a medial practice in Poland. (December, 2007)

MARQA 2007 - TVN and TVN Siedem are among the leading media brands in Poland according to the "MARQA 2007" ranking conducted by Rzeczpospolita in cooperation with ACNielsen. TVN was ranked the second and TVN Siedem the eighth strongest media brand. TVN maintained the last year's title of being the most valuable meida brand. MARQA is the only brand ranking Poland focusing the strength of Polish best brands measured by their financial value. Other criteria taken into consideration are recognition, prestige, loyalty and other qualitative factors influencing a brand strength. 387 Polish brands participated in this year's ranking. "Pilka nozna" magazine award - Roger Guerreiro, the Brazilian football player of the Legia Warszawa team was acknowledged as "Foreigner of the year" in the prestigious survey by "Pilka nozna", the weekly football magazine. Jan Urban, Legia's coach was recognized as top nominee in the "Return of the Year" category. The "Pilka nozna" survey has been conducted since 1973 and it aims to identify and award those individuals who contribute the most to the football development in Poland. (December, 2007)

MediaTory 2007 - Tomasz Sekielski, Andrzej Morozowski, Kamil Durczok, Katarzyna Kolenda-Zaleska, Szymon Majewski and the head of TVN 24.pl portal, Jakub Sufin were presented the students' journalist awards. Polish students in journalism awarded Kamil Durczok for reliability, professionalism and top standards. Tomasz Sekielski and Andrzej Morozowski were recognized for their accurate comments on our daily reality. Katarzyna Kolenda-Zaleska was awarded for proving that it is possible to be reliable and fast at the same time. Szymon Majewski was acknowledged for spreading a positive energy. A special award was given to a head of TVN24.pl for featuring new ways of the Internet exploitation. MediaTory 2007 took place for the first time this year, the competition was conducted by the Scientific Association of Students of Journalism at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. HOT BIRD TV Awards 2007 - TVN Med has received a Special Mention in the category "culture/education" at this year's HOT BIRD TV Awards. After viewing 120 channels from across Europe, the international jury of media experts listed the 34 best channels among which 14 are from Poland. The HOT BIRD TV awards competition has been organized since 1998 by Eutelsat, one of the leading satellite operators in cooperation with Eurovisioni, the international film and television festival to reward the best thematic channels transmitted by Hot Bird satellites. Leader of the Year 2007 in Health Care - TVN Med, the medical platform has received the "Success of the Year in Health Care" awarded for its educational activities in a survey conducted by the Health Manager magazine in cooperation with Termedia, the medical publishing house. The contest, which took place for the eights time this year, aims to recognize individuals and organizations active and successful in the health care industry. Camera Obscura 2007 - Przemyslaw Wojciechowski, the journalist of "Superwizjer" was awarded during the 4th International Festival of TV Reportage the "Camera Obscura 2007" in the category "investigative journalism" for his documentary, "Children Taken Away" which, while following the fate of one man, reveals the unknown side of Polish history after the World War II. Przemyslaw Wojciechowski was acknowledged for his reliable journalistic work. A special award from Internet users was presented to Magdalena Zagala, another journalist of the "Superwizjer" team, for her documentary about climbers in the Tatra Mountain. The "Camera Obscura" is the only festival in Europe to focus on a TV reportage as a sole, independent journalistic form of expression dedicated to creation of a "chronicle of our time". National Road Safety Council Award - TVN Turbo has been presented an award based on the competition, "Inevitable subject-matter blow", organized by the National Road Safety Council. TVN Turbo was recognized for its contribution into promoting road safety. The awards are given to the journalists, editorial teams and artists who approach the biggest social drama in Poland, which is the high number of people dying in car accidents every year recognizing the tragedy brought on their relatives. The competition is conducted by the National Road Safety Council in cooperation with the Polish Red Cross, 3M Poland and Toyota Motor Poland. (October, 2007)

Friend of the Child Health Center Medal - Bozena Walter, President of the TVN Foundation "you are not alone" was honored with a medal of the "Friend of the Child Health Center", a distinction given by the Institute to its most noble contributors. The TVN Foundation has been supporting Poland's largest children hospital for the past several years. The "Restoring Hope" campaign cumulated funds of PLN 15mln for the renovation of the hospital. The "Restoring Hope" campaign was an idea of Rinke Rooyens, who was also honored by the Child Health Center with the "Friend of the Child Health Center" medal. Rinke Rooyens is the producer of the "Szymon Majewski Show" broadcast by TVN. (October, 2007)

Polish Medical Association Award - Bozena Walter and the team of the TVN Foundation "you are not alone" were honored with the "Meritorious - The Polish Medical Association". The Polish Medical Association acknowledged several personalities of the medical profession and issued an explanatory statement thanking "for guarding the highest moral value of a human life protection; for sensitivity to injustice, harm, illness and poverty; for faith in a human kindness; and for taking care of human dignity and preserving an honor and prestige of medical status". PIK-owy Laur Awards - Krzysztof Klosinski, the host of the TVN literature club, "Wydanie drugie poprawione" was acknowledged for the most interesting book presentation in media. The award is given by the Polish Book Chamber and aims to leverage a meaning of a book in mass media and to emphasize the importance of providing information on books especially about novelties by media. In 2005, the PIK-owy Laur award was presented to Kazimiera Szczuka, who co-host the "Wydanie drugie poprawione" show. (October, 2007)

Image Profile 2007 - TVN and Grupa Onet top of the Imageprofile ranking conducted by Manager Magazin which identifies companies enjoying the best reputation on the Polish market. TVN was ranked 2nd and the Grupa Onet 6th in the main competition. Additionally, both companies were recognized in various categories. Grupa Onet won, followed by TVN, in the category "growth dynamic". In the category "service and production quality", TVN was ranked 3rd and Grupa Onet 4th. TVN came in 4th position in the category "customer approach". In the category "good advertisement and PR", TVN was ranked 5th and Grupa Onet 9th. Imageprofile is a survey based on opinions of professionals holding top managerial positions who were asked to evaluate the image of biggest companies active on Polish market, companies listed on Warsaw Stock Exchange as well as foreign investors. Mention from the Minister of Defense - Tomasz Kanik, the journalist of TVN 24 and Hubert Szuberski the camera man received a mention from the Minister of Defense for their professionalism and reliability in covering the August incidents in Afghanistan during which time 2nd Lt. Lukasz Kurowski was killed following an attack on the Polish convoy. This is the first acknowledgment of such kind by the Minister of Defense for media. (October, 2007)

Amber Lions - ITI Cinema was presented at the 32nd Polish Films Festival in Gdynia the award for best distribution, measured by attendance, for the film "Testosteron" directed by Tomasz Konecki and Andrzej Saramowicz. Since 31.08.2007 the film attracted 1'354'969 viewers. Additionally, several awards were presented to actors well known to the public from TVN productions. Robert Wieckiewicz ("Odwroceni" series) was recognized for his performance in a leading role in "Swiadek koronny" ("The Crown Witness") and "Wszystko bedzie dobrze" ("All will be well"). Zbigniew Stryj ("Na Wspolnej" series) won the award for his performance in a supporting role in the film "Benek" directed by Robert Glinski. Sonia Bohosiewicz ("Magda M" series) was presented an award for her supporting role in the film "Rezerwat". Awards were also presented to Marcin Dorociński ("Hela w opalach" series) for his performance in Maciej Wojtyszka's "Ogrod Luizy" ("Louise's Garden") and Julia Pietrucha for "Jutro idziemy do kina" ("Tomorrow We're Going to the Movies"), whose acting carrier started with her double role as twin sisters in the series "Na Wspolnej" . Golden Horseshoe - TVN's stars and products won six awards during the Cieszyn Film Festival "Wakacyjne Kadry" ("Summer Frames"). "Magda M" was awarded as the best drama series and its leading actors - Joanna Brodzik and Pawel Maluszynski were recognized as best actress and best actor respectively. Joanna Brodzik was also acknowledged as best feature film actress, Agnieszka Dygand as best sitcom actress ("Niania") and Robert Wieckiewicz was recognized as best actor in a crime series ("Odwroceni"). Charlie's Blue Bowler Hat - TVN's stars: Agnieszka Dygant, Szymon Majewski and Kuba Wojewodzki have received during the 8th Humor Festival the Charlie's Bowler hat award in Gdansk. Agnieszka Dygant was named "star of smile" for her role as main character in the comedy series "Nanny". The "Szymon Majewski Show" won in the "favorite show" category and the "Kuba Wojewodzki Show" was recognized as the "funniest talk show". The Humor Festival looks to award the best entertainment products from film, television, radio as well as drawing and photographic satire artwork. (June, 2007)

CoolBrands - Onet.pl and Legia have been ranked among the most desirable brands on the Polish market within a survey conducted by Superbrands Ltd. CoolBrands is part of a pan-European survey aimed to define tastes and preferences of European consumers based on 100 000 respondents in nine countries. The CoolBrand title is awarded to brands perceived as stylish, innovative, original, authentic and exceptional. Internet Hippocrates - TVN Med was presented the Internet Hippocrates award as best medical platform by the II Congress Telemedycyna 2007, covering "Medicine in the telephone and Internet reach". Competitors to the award included Internet sites and platforms focusing on medical and health care issues. Bazar - The UWAGA editorial team of Mariusz Zielinski, Honorata Dawidowicz and Maciej Wojcik as well as TVN's reporter Jakub Cuman were awarded during this years National Documentary Film Festival, BAZAR. Honorata Dawidowicz and Maciej Wojcik were awarded in the category " film, documentary" for their reportage on the irregularities in the sign-up process in TELE 2. Mariusz Zielinski was recognized in the category "short documentary" for his footage "Nabici w butelke" ("Taken for a Ride"). Jakub Cuman was presented a Marschal of Wielkopolskie Voivodeship award for his short documentary "Unia dla wsi" ("Union for a village"). Libertas et Auxilium - Honorata Dawidowicz and Maciej Wojcik of TVN are this year laureates of the "Libertas et Auxilium" awards. The awards are granted following a survey conducted by the Polish Journalists Association, the Adam Smith Center and the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection. TVN journalists were acknowledged for their documentary "Nabici przez Tele2" ("Ripped off by Tele2") broadcast in the "Uwaga" program in September 2006. "Libertas at Auxilium" awards aim to recognize high quality press articles, radio or television programs dedicated to competition and consumer protection which significantly influence public opinion. Wiktory 2006 - TVN journalists, Tomasz Sekielski and Andrzej Morozowski, the editors and hosts of "Teraz My" were awarded Wiktor statuettes for creating the best television program. Grzegorz Miecugow and Tomasz Sianecki, the hosts of "Szklo kontaktowe" ("Lens") were acknowledged as the "television discovery of the year". Edward Miszczak, the Programming Director of TVN was honored with a Superwiktor statuette in recognition of his overall achievements. Wiktory 2006 took place for the 22nd time this year, the awards of the Polish Television Academy consisting of Wiktor winners are presented to the most outstanding television personalities. Premium Brand 2007 - for the second time TVN has been recognized as the premium brand in the "media" category in the Premium Brand 2007 ranking based on the consumers' votes. Emerging Europe's best managed companies - the TVN Group has been once more ranked as the best managed company in the CEE region in the category "Communications" in a survey conducted by the prestigious British investment magazine "Euromoney". Additionally, TVN Group has been recognized as the best managed company among all Polish companies which were included in the ranking. The "Emerging Europe's best managed companies" ranking is based on the opinions of leading bank analysts and research institutes who are asked to nominate their top companies in each of the emerging markets or sectors they cover. Hiacynt 2007 - "Magda M" producers were presented the "Hiacynt 2007" award in the "media" category for portraying a gay character into the series, who is not depicted in a negative way. The Hiacynt (Hyacinth) award is given by the Equality Foundation for promoting tolerance, equality of rights and fight against discrimination. Reader's Digest European Trusted Brands 2007- for the sixth time TVN has been awarded the most trusted brand title and Onet.pl was presented the Crystal Statuette and Crystal Emblem of Trusted Brand according to the results of the European Trusted Brands 2007 consumer survey. European Trusted Brands is a multi-country study of consumer attitudes conducted annually by Reader's Digest magazin. This year's research covered 15 European countries. 24'213 respondents named their favorite brands by such criteria as high quality, value for money, strong image, understanding of consumer needs. The specific brand reputation is examined by the Brand Council, which is made up of marketing, advertising and branding experts. The "Superbrand" status is awarded to brands which hold a very strong position within their respective industries and are providing significant contribution to their consumers' lives. The Superbrands organization, which currently operates in 70 countries worldwide, was established in the nineties in London and aims to promote successful brands consequently building their position within local markets. Poland's most valuable media company - TVN was acknowledged as the most valuable Polish media company in the forth edition of "Poland's 100 most valuable companies" conducted by Newsweek magazine in cooperation with A.T Kearney, the management consulting company. The ranking compared a few hundreds of companies showing the highest revenues in 2006 based on which an estimated value was assumed to determine a company's position in the ranking. (April, 2007)

Bishop Jan Chrapek award - Szymon Holownia, co-author of the religious channel to be launched by the ITI Group received the Bishop Jan Chrapek award "Slad" for his innovatory way of presenting and commenting on religious matters in a manner appealing to the young generations and accommodating new philosophical trends. The bishop Jan Chrapek award is given by journalists annually for 6 years to media personalities supporting the idea of truth, understanding and dialog, in honor of bishop Jan Chrapek, who was an open and media friendly person. The name of the award "Slad" ("Trace") is inspired by the bishop's life motto "to live one's life the way, to leave the lasting trace in the world". (April, 2007)

Top Employer - TVN was ranked the most desired media company to work for in Poland. The "Press" magazine asked journalists and journalism students what would be their dream workplace. While ranking TVN as top employer, voters considered the station's prestigious status, attractive salaries and career prospects. Among top employers were also "Polityka" magazine and Radio Zet. Swiry 2007 - Szymon Majewski, host of the "Szymon Majewski Show" and Doda, star of the show "Driving with Doda" broadcast on TVN Turbo were presented the student award "Swiry 2007" ("Nutters 2007"). Szymon Majewski won two awards: the "Teleswir" award and the award for the "most crazy TV program". Doda was awarded in the "Artiste" category. The awards from students of Katowice School of Economics were given for the eighth time this year and they aim to recognize people who are "crazy in a positive way" and creative, possess a unique personality and a great sense of humor. Internet Industry Award - Onet.pl was awarded the title "Company of the Year 2006" at the "Internet 2k7", the main Polish Internet fair. Onet.pl has been acknowledged for its fast responses to the changes and requirements of the e-market while maintaining its leading position on the Polish Internet market. The year 2006 was a very good year for Onet.pl, the portal managed to launch several new projects and to extend its multimedia, telecommunication and community platforms. In 2006, Onet.pl was able to maintain the leading position in the multimedia on-line sector, providing attractive multimedia content such as video news (sourced from TVN24), music clips and popular series and programs from TVN Group as well as life transmission of all 2006/2007 Champions League matches. Media Trendy 2007 - ITI Neovision was presented the Grand Prix Media Trendy 2007 award for the successful launch of the digital platform "n". Dariusz Fikus Award - Bogdan Rymanowski, the journalist and host of the current affairs show "Kawa na Lawe" from TVN won the Dariusz Fikus Award in a category "Journalist". This year the jury evaluated both the journalistic achievements and managerial skills (in case of chief-in-editors and media owners) of the candidates with emphasis on ethical aspects of their performance, professionalism, social input and political independence. The Dariusz Fikus award is named after a prominent journalist promoting the idea of independent media and is awarded by Rzeczpospolita daily and its publisher Presspublica. (March, 2007)

Soccer Oscars 2007 - Legia football players, Lukasz Fabianski and Grzegorz Bronowicki, were among the laureates of this year's Soccer Oscars award. Lukasz Fabianski, as last year, has been recognized as the "best goal keeper of the year" and Grzegorz Bronowicki was acknowledged as the "best defense player" within Poland's top league the Orange Ekstraklasa. As in previous years the awards were granted based on a survey among Poland's football players conducted by Canal+. (February, 2007)

Sharp Pens 2006 - Cezary Krolak of TVN24, as last year, has been among this year laureates of the "Sharp Pens" journalist award. The award is granted by the Business Centre Club to Polish journalists promoting entrepreneurship as well as the principles of the free market economy and who contribute to the economic education. Impactor 2006 - Piotr Walter, Chief Executive Officer of TVN S.A., was named "Man of the year 2006" in the media and advertising industry. Piotr Walter has been acknowledged for the successful debut and outstanding financial performance of TVN Group on the Warsaw Stock Exchange as well as for his professionalism and efficiency in managing the TVN's television channels. TVN 24 was recognized as the most credible media of the year and Andrzej Morozowski and Tomasz Sekielski, hosts of "Teraz My", were recognized as the most credible journalists of the year praised for their courage and uncompromising attitude in seek of truth and in unveiling corruption. The Impactors are granted by the Polish Advertising and Media Academy to those, whose activities within media industry are considered especially admirable and respectful. (February, 2007)

Malopolska Journalist Award 2006 - Leszek Kablak of TVN24 and Daniel Zielinski of TVN are among the laureates for the Malopolska Journalist Award. Leszek Kabalak was awarded in the category "TV Journalist" for his outstanding precision and passion, professionalism, promptness and credibility, while reporting on important and controversial events. Leszek Kabalak was furthermore recognized for his high language standards, and preferred friendliness and kindness over a "ready to fight" attitude characteristic in competitive markets. Daniel Zielinski was awarded in the category "Investigative Journalist" for his strenuous and consequent seek for truth even contrary to police and public prosecutor's office opinions. Malopolska Journalists competition is a local initiative of journalists recoginizing the best of them and awarding their extraordinary achievements in favor of the community living in the Malopolaska region. Telekamery 2007 - as many as 8 statuettes were presented this year to TVN journalists, actors and productions. Kamil Durczok won the award in the "News" category, Tomasz Sekielski and Andrzej Mrozowski have been awarded in the category "Publicyzm" and Szymon Majewski won the award in the category "Entertainment". Awards were also presented to TVN for its three series "Magda M", "Kryminalni" and "Niania" which won in their respective categories of "drama", "crime" and "comedy" series. The leading actors of the "Magda M" series, Pawel Maluszynski and Joanna Brodzik were presented the statuettes for the best actor and the best actress respectively. Additionally, the main award - "Zlota Kamera" ("Golden Camera") was presented to Ewa Drzyzga, the host of the popular talk show "Rozmowy w toku". Telekamery awards are given by the Polish leading TV magazin "Tele Tydzien" whose readers select their favourite celebrities and television programs every year. (January, 2007)

Best Stock Market Company of the Year 2006 - TVN has been ranked the "Best Stock Market Company of the Year 2006" by a survey conducted for the 8th time by Puls Biznesu and the Penator Institute. Among the surveyed brokers, analysts and investment advisors TVN was ranked top in three out of five categories namely"overall success" and "development prospect" and "service quality". The ranking reflects on the assessed companies board management' competence, quality of provided product and services, investor relations, growth and development perspectives and last year performance as well as stock performance. TVN's stable market position and continuing growth of its financial results as well as its consistently applied programming strategy pushed TVN to the top of the 2006 ranking list compared to the third place held in 2005.
