Tygodnik Powszechny

Tygodnik Powszechny launched in 1945 is a well known catholic socio-cultural weekly magazine acknowledged by generations of Poles. Since its launch over 60 years ago, Tygodnik Powszechny established itself as a highly reputable publication providing high quality journalism and a reliable discussion forum for important social matters. A large portion of the Tygodnik’s content focuses on the life of the catholic church as a part of “religion” section, other regular sections include country, culture, civilization and senses. Tygodnik features regular columns, variety of political reports, essays,  reviews on art, literature and theater and interviews with outstanding personalities from the world of science, culture and politic. "TP" is equally known for editing a number of a quality supplements on various topics, one of them, “Books in Tygodnik” is the largest and the most important Polish publication dedicated to the books and publishing market.

Tygodnik Powszechny is available for subscription in Poland and abroad as well as on-line. Tygodnik’s printed version comes out every Wednesday. All issues of Tygodnik Powszechny since its launch in 1945, including archive articles before and after censorship, are available on CDs and DVDs. The on-line version of Tygodnik Powszechny has been hosted by Onet.pl since 2002 and was thoroughly re-designed in 2008 adjacent the changes in the magazine's print version. Following its re-launch the online version of Tygodnik holds a leading position among the weekly magazines portals in Poland counting over half a million unique users each month.
