"Odnawiamy nadzieje" ("Restoring Hope")
The TVN Foundation co-organized the campaign "Odnawiamy nadzieje" ("Restoring Hope"), which is one of the biggest charity events aimed at supporting child healthcare in Poland. "Restoring Hope" was a joint action conducted with another famous foundation called "Porozumienie bez barier" ("Understanding with no barriers"), which was established and presided over by the First Lady of Poland - Jolanta Kwasniewska. The campaign was aimed at collecting funds for the renovation of the Child Health Center (CZD) built in memory of Polish children killed during the Second World War. CZD is the largest children's hospital in Poland and is also one of the largest in Europe; it is renowned for its highly professional medical team. The first stage of the campaign ended with the "Restoring Hope Spring Picnic", which was attended by 120'000 people. Another attraction of the campaign was that it provided an opportunity for viewers to talk directly with famous Polish personalities who were invited to the TV phone studio in the new ITI building. Among these 100 personalities answering the viewers' phone calls were: Jolanta Kwasniewska, Mariusz Walter, Jan Wejchert, Bozena Walter, Elzbieta Penderecka, Marek Borowski. Media support for the campaign was provided mainly by: TVN, TVN Siedem, TVN 24, Onet.pl, Radio Zet, "Wprost" magazine and the "Super Express" newspaper. Three of the major partners, Unilever Polska, Telekomunikacja Polska and Polpharma each transferred 1'000'000 PLN to the charity account. The total of collected funds for the CZD renovation project reached 7'000'000 PLN.
