15.12.2009 - Film & music on New Year's Eve at Multikino.
On New Year's Eve all Multikino and Silver Screen multiplexes across the country will host the ultimate one-of-a-kind New Year's Eve party combining movies and music. 15.12.2009 - "Buy a teddy bear!", the 4th Christmas charity campaign organized by the TVN Foundation "you are not alone" has begun.
The TVN Foundation for the fourth time launched its Christmas charity campaign, "buy a teddy bear for your beloved one, to help people in need" on 06.12.2009.This year, a special limited edition of 100'000 teddy bears of 5 different models - Miecia, Fruzia, Zuzia, Fredzio and Zyzio. All teddy bears are priced at PLN 50 each, and are available at the "Rossmann" drugstores all over the country as well as on the Internet at www.kupmisia.allegro.pl. Funds raised from the sale of these extraordinary teddy bears are to support the construction costs of The Cancer Prevention Center.

14.12.2009 - TVN wins the fall season.
TVN Group announced its audience share results for the 2009 autumn season. TVN's autumn programming schedule was launched on September 6th and concluded on December 6th 2009. The autumn program offer was made up of of high quality locally produced and foreign programs, series and movies, unquestionably won Polish audience. Seven out of ten most popular autumn's series and five out of ten most popular autumn's entertainment shows in Poland were broadcast on TVN channel. The main news bulletin Fakty recorded outstanding results in the autumn season by reaching an average nationwide market share of 33.2%. The morning show Dzień Dobry TVN (Good Morning TVN), by reaching an average nationwide audience share of 18.1% (weekdays) and 16.2% (weekends) was Poland's most popular morning show. The TVN's autumn's programming schedule was strengthened by an assorted movie lineup, featuring blockbusters such as: "Shrek the Third", "Happy Feet", "Duplex", "Miss Congeniality", "Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous", "Just Love Me", "Troy" and popular foreign series. The TVN channel was autumn's undisputable market leader. By reaching 19.5% all day audience share and 22.8% in peak time TVN was the most widely watched television channel in Poland in the basic commercial target group (16-49).

08.12.2009 - Multikino expands outside of Poland.
Multikino SA, owned by the ITI Group, the leading Polish media and entertainment group, and ECE Projektmanagement, the European market leader among shopping center developers are jointly launching the OZAS Multikino. Located in the largest biggest shopping center in Vilnius, Lithuania the Multikino/OZAS Gallery multiplex is Multikino's first cinema outside of Poland. The new cinema will house 7 auditoriums featuring 2D and 3D projectors and 1'673 seats, out of which 500 in the Premiere Hall. Multikino facilities will be spread over 3'500 m2 and similar as in Poland will house bars and "Cavablanca" cafes. Vilnius Multikino is planned to open in the first half of 2010.

02.12.2009 - November belongs to TVN.
TVN Group announced audience share results for November 2009. The TVN channel was undisputed market leader in all important categories. November's most popular entertainment show "Taniec z Gwiazdami"(Strictly Come Dancing) attracted up to 6.2 mln viewers, recording an average monthly audience share of 33% in our key target group (16-49, cities 100,000 +). "Mam Talent!" - a Polish version of Got Talent attracted in November up to 5.4 mln viewers, recording an average audience share of 45.4% in our key target group. The series "Brzydula" (Ugly Betty) attracted up to 4.5 mln viewers and recorded an average audience share of 47.1% in our key target group. The main news bulletin "Fakty" recorded outstanding results. By attracting up to 5.6 mln viewers, with an average nationwide market share of 32.4%, "Fakty" outpaced again its main competitor "Wiadomości". TVN's autumn season programming offer includes locally produced high quality programs and series as well as foreign movies. In November 2009 nine out of the ten most widely watched programs on our TVN channel were locally produced programs.

09.11.2009 - Tribute to Jan Wejchert.
Family, friends and colleagues said goodbye one last time to Jan Wejchert. The President of ITI, founder of TVN and TVN24 died on October 31th at the age of 59. The memorial service took place in a church in Warsaw Wilanow district, and the urn with his ashes was deposited in the church chapel. "My father changed lives of thousand people, shaped Poland's reality and influenced millions of Poles" said Lukasz Wejchert during the funeral ceremony. "He created the largest media holding in this part of Europe", added his friend and business partner, Bruno Valsangiacomo. Jan Wejchert unexpectedly passed away following a heart failure caused by a bacterial infection and sepsis, which lead to an overreaction of his immune system. Jan Wejchert has been fighting a long battle against leukemia, which was first diagnosed in 1993. In 1996 and 2006, he underwent two major chemotherapies and auto transplants.

26.10.2009 - Cycling for the TVN Foundation "you are not alone"
Over 100 cyclists participated in the stationary bicycle marathon organized by the ITI Fitness Club, Schwinn Cycling and Fitness Solution Polska. The event which, lasted 4 hours with each hour being a simulation of the biggest cycling events such as the Tour de Pologne, the Tour de France, the Giro d'Italia. During the marathon one could obtain a consultation on personal workout program provided by the professionals of the fitness service "My Coach", on the beauty treatments from the La Perla's consultants and get the advice on a healthy nutrition from the experts of Set Point. Additionally, the cyclists took part in bicycle sprint racing using the newest model of Schwinn AC Performance stationary bicycle, and there was also a presentation on the most advanced system of heart rate based group training. The profit of this sport-charity is donated in support the latest project by TVN Foundation, the construction of The Cancer Prevention Center.

07.10.2009 - "Get Low", TVN's first American film coproduction.
"Get Low", TVN's first U.S. film cooproduction starring Robert Duvall, Bill Murray, Sissy Spacek, and Lucas Black premiered on 12.09.2009 at the Toronto International Film Festival. The movie, directed by Aaron Schneider, and produced by Dean Zanuck received a standing ovation from Toronto audiences, and earned not only Sony Pictures Classic as the distributor for USA and Canada but also highest praise from the press being described as beautifully shot, charming, well-written and well-acted. Robert Duvall's performancehas been recognized as perhaps the best in his career and Oscar-worthy. Dean Zanuck has been named a "producer to watch" by Variety magazine. The worldwide distribution to begin in the USA is planned for late Spring 2010. In Poland film will be screened for the first time on 28.10.2009 to open the"Cameraimage" film festival. Dean Zanuck. Aaron Schneider and David Boyd are expected to make an appearance accompanied by TVN producers. "Get Low"is a based on facts touching story of Felix Bush (Robert Duvall), an elderly hermit living alone in woods, who stages his own funeral while he is still alive in order to reveal a big secret he's been carrying for many years. The funeral party, later named a Woodstock of the depression era, is organized by a shady, money driven funeral undertaker (Bill Murray) and his idealistic assistant (Lucas Black).

06.10.2009 - Record breaking Saturday! TVN channel records the best in history audience share result.
On the first Saturday in October TVN, by reaching 25.8% all day audience share in the basic commercial target group (16-49), was the most widely watched television channel in Poland. TVN's leading position was even more evident in peak time (18.00 - 23.00), when TVN recorded 30.7% audience share.Programmed to be the best is not one-season slogan, and this result is not our last word - said Edward Miszczak, TVN's Programming Director. On that day TVN channel recorded 26.4% nationwide audience share in peak time and 21.7% on an all day basis. TVN recorded excellent results in its key target group (16-49 cities 100 000+), by reaching 40.2% audience share in peak time and 31.6% on an all day basis. TVN's record-braking performance is due to our superior autumn programming offer, which is made up of high quality series and entertainment programs as well as blockbusters.

25.09.2009 - TVN CNBC Biznes on shortlist for Hot Bird.
TVN CNBC Biznes was nominated by an independent panel of media experts for the HOT BIRD TV Award in the "news" category. TVN CNBC Biznes together with BBC Persian Television, FRANCE 24 and Italian SKY TG2 are the news channels that received the highest evaluation of their programming innovativeness and content quality and qualified for the shortlist of nominated channels for the Award. Nomination for such a prestigious Award and acknowledgement of the international media experts are a great distinction for TVN CNBC Biznes especially in merely two years after its launch in September 2007 - said Roman Młodkowski, TVN CNBC Director/ Head of News. The HOT BIRD TV Awards is an annual event distinguishing excellence and innovation in thematic satellite television. Over 150 channels from 20 countries entered this years competition. The international jury judged the content, programming ideas and technology trends driving thematic television, to select the nominees. 24.09.2009 - TVN's production "Love and Dance" wins Czech and Slovakian audience
Bontonfilm, the leading Czech and Slovakian film distributor has acquired the theatrical distribution rights to "Love and Dance", TVN's box office record breaking movie production. Bontonfilm will screen "Love and Dance" film in cinemas across the Czech Republic and Slovakia, with the premiere scheduled for November 2009. "Love and Dance" Poland's first high-budget dance movie was one of the most popular Polish films of the last decade, attracting 393'803 viewers on the opening weekend and recording a total audience of over 1'330'000. The amazing dance scenes of "Love and Dance" are set against the back drop of a moving love story. "Love and Dance" is TVN's first movie production to enter the broad international cinematic distribution.

14.09.2009 - TVN Foundation "you are not alone" to build The Cancer Prevention Center.
The TVN Foundation "you are not alone" is building The Cancer Prevention Center, a 3'200 m2 facility to be located on the premises of The Institute of Oncology in Warsaw. The new Center will be fully dedicated to the prevention and control of cancer diseases, its highly specialized practices such as breast cancer, cancer of female reproductive organs (cervical cancer), large intestine cancer, upper digestive system cancer, lung cancer prophylactic departments as well as cancer cytogenetics, cancer epidemiology and prevention divisions will be managed by highly experienced cancer specialists, who will have the state-of-art technology at their disposal to diagnose patients from all over Poland. All cancer screenings and examination osts are to be covered by the National Health Fund therefore free of charge for patients. The TVN Foundation will invest PLN 30'000'000 into the construction of the Cancer Prevention Center, the project is in accordance with the National Program against Cancer Diseases conducted by Polish Ministry of Health. The new Center was designed by the team of Jacek Syropolski of "Kurylowicz & Associates" architecture studio, which has already worked with the TVN Foundation on renovation of the Child Health Center. The Cancer Prevention Center, which is to open in May 2011 for the 10th Anniversary of the TVN Foundation, will be managed by The Institute of Oncology in Warsaw.

01.09.2009 - Warsaw residents highly value TVN Warszawa.
Modern, credible and professional - this is how TVN Warszawa channel is perceived by the residents of Warsaw based on the results of a market pollby GFK Polonia at the end of July, 2009. The results showed that TVN Warszawa, launched on 15.12.2008, is watched by 60% of residents of Warsaw and its suberbs. As much as 53 % of local people watch TVN Warsaw occasionally, 41% once a week, and 17% every or almost every day. Regular viewers admitted to watch TVN Warszawa every day. Additionally, 80% of TVN Warszawa's viewers have a positive opinion about the channel, and 38% found it very good and outstanding. The majority of the poll's participants share the opinion that the channel shows Warsaw as a modern European city (73%). TVN Warszawa is seen as a source of a quick news on what's going on in the city (85%), modern (83%), credible (79%) and professional (79%). TVN Group announced audience share results for August 2009. In August 2009, the TVN channel maintained market leadership in its key target group - the most demanding and attractive audience from an advertisers perspective. By reaching 20.3% audience share in peak time and 15.4% on an all day basis TVN outpaced its main competitors. The TVN channel maintained its strong position in the basic commercial target group, proving to be the most resistant to the audience share decreases, when compared to the corresponding period of 2008. In August 2009 the TVN channel’s nationwide audience share was 16.8 % in peak time and 12.5% on an all day basis. Despite a significantly lower technical coverage when compared to its main competitors (87% of households in Poland), TVN was the second most widely watched television channel in peak time. In August 2009 TVN’s main news bulletin Fakty attracted up to 3.6 mln viewers, with an average quarterly market share of 32.6%, outpacing its main competitor Wiadomości (30.5%). TVN’s docucrime W-11 Wydział Śledczy attracted up to 3.1 mln viewers, the Sopot Festival 2009 attracted up to 2.7 mln viewers and our current affairs program Uwaga! attracted up to 2.5 mln viewers. In August 2009 four out of the ten most widely watched programs on the TVN channel were locally produced programs. On September 6th TVN will launch its autumn programming schedule including new formats and continuation of its most popular programs and series. 31.08.2009 - "360-degree street", ZUMI's latest service.
Based on photo coverage of over 200 km of streets across 15 Polish cities ZUMI created its new service: "360-degree street". 360 degree street offers panoramic street views and is an extension of the"panoramic tours" service introduced in 2007. 360-degree street features street level views of over 2000 monuments, churches and museums as well as their interiors. The "360-degree street" service is a highly useful source of information allowing internet users to walk through the streets of the biggest Polish cities, visit shops, restaurants, hotels and other places located along the streets, it also has a high educational and commercial value. TVN Group announced audience share results for July 2009. In July 2009 our TVN channel continued to lead the market in its key target group - the most demanding and attractive audience from an advertisers perspective. By reaching 19.6% audience share in peak time and 15.4% on an all day basis TVN outpaced its main competitors. The TVN channel maintained its strong position in the basic commercial target group, proving to be the most resistant to the audience share decreases, when compared to the corresponding period of 2008. In July 2009 TVN channel's nationwide audience share was 16.9 % in peak time and 12.8% on an all day basis. Despite a significantly lower technical coverage when compared to its main competitors (87% of households in Poland), TVN was the second most widely watched television channel in peak time. In July 2009 the main news bulletin Fakty attracted up to 3.6 mln viewers, with an average quarterly market share of 34.7%, outpacing its main competitor Wiadomości (31.6%). The docucrime W-11 Wydział Śledczy attracted up to 2.8 mln viewers, the current affairs program Uwaga! attracted up to 2.5 mln viewers and the docu-crime Detektywi attracted up to 2.2 mln viewers. In July 2009 four out of the ten most widely watched programs on our TVN channel were locally produced programs. In July 2009 the four big television channels in Poland recorded on a year on year basis a decrease in the aggregate audience share from 66.5% in July 2008 to 60.7% in July 2009. In the basic commercial target group (16-49) the aggregate all day audience share of the four main channels was 60.2% compared to 66.3% in the corresponding period of 2008. aggregate audience share is driven by the fragmentation of audiences and a change in the set up of the AGB audience panel. The market fragmentation trend is mainly caused by the rapid development of DTH platforms (which only in 2009 gained almost 2.5 mln of new subscribers) and confirms the rationale of our strategy to develop the portfolio of thematic channels and to enter the pay tv market by acquiring the majority stake in "n" DTH platform. The market changes have also been reflected in the AGB's audience panel - new channels are measured and more households with access to DTH services are included in the survey, as compared to the
corresponding period of 2008.

27.07.2009 - TVN Warsaw reports record audience share results.
Last Tuesday, on 21.07.2009, TVN Warsaw recorded its highest viewership results since its launch 7 months ago. TVN Warsaw counted over 410'000 viewers (RCH) with an average minute rating of 11'000 (AMR) according to TNS OBOP. On this day TVN Warszawa broadcast life coverage of the eviction of retailers from a shopping center in central Warsaw by the City authorities. The protest of traders against the closing down of their stands turned into the so called "Warsaw riot" that lasted the entire day. TVN Warszawa dedicated 15 hours of its programming to the report on the developments and actions in and around the market place and its immediate neighborhood. Additionally, the channel involved the audience providing people with an opportunity to express their opinion on television. Over 200 people were eager to share their point of view with journalists and other viewers during the program.

21.07.2009 - Zumi ranks within Poland's Top 10 brands.
Zumi.pl is among Poland's 10 biggest and strongest brands according to the latest Net Track poll by SMG/KRC. Launched by Onert.pl 2 years ago Zumi.pl ranks today as the tenth most frequently visited site on the Polish internet. The poll conducted by MillwardBrown SMG/KRC is an important input reflecting a position of the Polish internet on the market as it provides data for Megapanel studies allowing to estimate a number of so so-called real users for various internet sites. Since launch Zumi.pl has been consistently building its market position, and it is now Poland's biggest online location finder.

13.07.2009 - Multikino, the ITI Group multiplex cinema operator opened its 21st cinema in Sopot.
Multikino opened its latest multiplex cinema in Sopot. Located within the Haffner Centre, it is the first multiscreen movie theater in the town. Multikino Sopot facilities feature 7 top modern auditoriums with over 1'000 seats, several popcorn bars, "Cavablanca Cafe" and a VIP section. Auditoriums are equipped with wide screens, first class sound system "Dolby Digital", digital projector enabling 3D screenings. Multikino's specialty is a very interesting programming offer, so the audience in Sopot will have an opportunity to enjoy the latest blockbusters but also independent productions as well as special film events such as film marathons, screenings for parents with babies - "Multibabykino", and screenings preceded by various promotional event for females, "Kino na Obcasach" ("High heels cinema"). 08.07.2009 - Success of TVN's documentaries.
BBC World News, the BBC's commercially funded international 24-hour news and information channel, has purchased the rights to broadcast two of TVN Group's documentaries: "The Mutineer" and the "Freedom Factory". "The Mutineer", written and directed by Wojciech Szumowski, is a story about Kazimierz Isakowicz-Zaleski, the priest who has written a book about government agents among clergymen and bishops during the communistic times in Poland. The documentary shows the efforts of the Priest to unveil the truth of those times and is a call to the Polish Church to take a clear stand on its history. Father Tadeusz Isakowicz- Zaleski has recently requested those Church officials, who collaborated against Karol Wojtyła and Franciszek Macharski, to plead guilty in connection to the papal beatification process. The "Freedom Factory" portrays a group of outsiders who voluntarly live in the ruins of a deserted factory and focuses on their ideas of freedom. Even though, each of them understands freedom differently, together they form a solid community with its own set of rules and moral codex. Despite the poor living conditions, they are happy. Some who moved out of the factory say that living there was the best time of their lives. Script, cinematography and direction: Maciej Walczak. BBC World News attracts 74 million viewers a week, is available in more than 200 countries and territories worldwide, and reaches 292 million households and more than 1.7 million hotel rooms. 16.06.2009 - Multikino to host for the fifth "Cinema Night" on 19.06.2009.
The fifth edition of the "Cinema Night" will take place in the 20 cinemas of Multikino (15) and Silver Screen (5) across Poland. The "Cinema Night" is a night long cinema feast featuring the best movies of the last years divided in 6 categories: comedy, horror, drama, Oscar winner, Polish and European film. 01.06.2009 - Discovery Networks Central Europe assumes 100% ownership of Discovery Historia.
Discovery Networks Central Europe (a division of the world's number one non-fiction media company Discovery Communications) and TVN, announced changes in the ownership structure of their joint venture. Discovery Networks Central Europe has purchased TVN's shares in the Discovery Historia network and as of today assumes complete ownership of Discovery Historia. Discovery Historia is a modern TV channel offering a fresh look at historical issues. The channel presents top quality content - including both Polish and international productions - from classical documentaries to modern reproductions of historical events shown from differing perspectives. According to research commissioned in 2008 by MillwardBrown SMG/KRC for Discovery, viewers feel that Discovery Historia enjoys their confidence and wins their recognition. 06.05.2009 - TVN maintains market leadership despite market fragmentation.
TVN Group announced audience share results for April 2009. In April 2009 the four big television channels in Poland recorded further audience share decrease. Their aggregate nationwide all day audience share was 68.9% compared to 73.2% in the corresponding period of 2008. In the basic commercial target group (16-49) the aggregate all day audience share of the four main channels was 67.8% compared to 72.1% in April 2008. The market fragmentation trend, along with the rapid development of DTH platforms, confirms the rationale of our strategy to develop the portfolio of thematic channels and to enter the pay tv market by acquiring the majority stake in “n” DTH platform. In April 2009 our TVN channel continued to lead the market in its key target group, almost doubling the results reached by its main competitors, both in peak time and on an all day basis. In April 2009 our TVN channel’s nationwide audience share was 20.1% in peak time and 16.7% on an all day basis. Despite a significantly lower technical coverage when compared to its main competitors (87% of households in Poland), TVN was the second most widely watched television channel both in peak time and on an all day basis. 20.04.2009 - TVN Group the most opinion-making among television stations and Internet portals.
According to the Media Monitoring Institute the most opinion-forming television channels in Poland in February 2009 were: TVN24, TVN and TVN CNBC Biznes and among the Internet portals: Onet.pl and TVN24.pl. In February, TVN24, being acknowledged the most opinion-forming television channel in Poland, maintained its leading position in the Media Monitoring Institute's ranking. 07.04.2009 - "The General. Attempt at Gibraltar", the TVN's latest movie production now in the cinema.
"The General. Attempt at Gibraltar", the movie produced by TVN, which premiered on 02.04.2009 in Warsaw and 4 days later in Cracow, is now playing in cinemas accross Poland. The movie, produced by Lidka Kazen, directed by Anna Jadowska, and starring among others Krzysztof Pieczynki, Kamilla Baar, Marieta Zukowska and Tomasz Sobczak, presents the last days of General Sikorski, right before his death in a plane crash. General Władysław Sikorski, commander-in-chief and Prime Minister of Poland in exile, died on 04.07.1943 on board of a plane in the Gibraltar catastrophe. Accident or attempted coup d'etat? The discussion about Sikorski's death continues until today. Many of the documents remain classified and may never be made public. The film is based on research of Dariusz Baliszewski, according to whom general Sikorski has been murdered before the Gibraltar catastrophe, and gives the audience a chance to take a closer look behind the scenes of the grand politics during World War II.

07.04.2009 - TVN remains the market leader as it enters the spring season.
TVN Group announced its audience share results for the first quarter of 2009. In the first quarter of 2009 our TVN channel continued to lead the market and was the only one out of the four big television channels in Poland to increase the all day audience share in its key target group. TVN almost exceeded by a factor of 2x the results reached by TVP2, both in peak time and on an all day basis. In the first quarter of 2009 TVN channel's nationwide audience share was 19.0% in peak time and 15.9% on an all day basis. Despite a significantly lower technical coverage when compared to its main competitors (87% of households in Poland), TVN was the second most widely watched television channel in peak time. TVN's excellent performance in the first quarter of 2009 is due to our superior programming offer, which is made up of locally produced high quality programs and series as well as foreign movies. In March 2009 TVN launched its spring season schedule, which was very well received by the audience. Main news bulletin Fakty attracted up to 5 mln viewers. The entertainment show Taniec z gwiazdami and docu-crime W-11 Wydział Śledczy attracted up to 4.3 mln viewers. The current affairs program Uwaga! and the series Na Wspólnej attracted up to 4 mln viewers. The quiz show Milionerzy, docu-crime Detektywi, daily series Brzydula and the entertainment show You can dance - po prostu tańcz! attracted up to 3.5 mln viewers. In March 2009 nine out of the ten most widely watched programs on TVN channel were locally produced programs. Continuing into the spring season TVN has a very strong movie line up featuring blockbusters such as Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Shrek, Shrek II, Poseidon, Sahara, Batman Begins, War of the Worlds and Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life.

Sympatia.pl, Onet.pl's dating platform and the online auction service Allegro, TVN and the TVN Foundation "you are not alone" organize another series of the "Meet a Star" charity campaign. The star this time is Piotr Galiński, known to the Polish public as member of a jury in the extremely successful in Poland TV show "Taniec z Gwiazdami" ("Strictly Come Dancing"). The auction to "meet Piotr Galinski" started on 30.03.2009 and will run until 09.04.2009. The highest bidder will join Piotr Galiński for a dinner on 19.04.2009, and will be invited as guestto the "Taniec z gwiazdami" show. Funds raised from the auction will be employed by TVN Foundation "you are not alone", which has provided help to chronically ill children and financial support for children hospitals and social organizations since 2001.

30.03.2009 - "Economic crisis in Poland - How long? How deep? What to do?", a Great Debate live on TVN CNBC Biznes and Onet.pl on 30.03.2009 at 5.10 pm.
Today, at 5.10 pm TVN CNBC Biznes will host in its studio the Great Debate on the economic crisis in Poland, organized by the channel in cooperation with FOR Foundation and the Wall Street Journal Polska. The event is supported by Onet.pl, which will host a special service www.wielkadebata.onet.pl allowing an access to the live coverage of the debate. Invited participants made up of renowned economists, experts on economy and CEOs of the largest companies look to answer questions like: What is the financial situation like in Poland? How long will the economic crises last? How to deal with it? Based on their knowledge and experience, the participants will try to judge the depths of the crisis. They will explain its impact on related issues such as credit availability, exchange rate problems, possible bankruptcies and layoffs, having alongside presenting their ideas on how to resolve this crisis. What shall be done by the government, and business organizations. The debate will be hosted by Roman Młodkowski, Programming Director of TVN CNBC Biznes, and Marcin Piasecki, Editor-in-chief of WSJ Polska. The debate will be summed up by Professor Leszek Balcerowicz, President of the Council of the FOR Foundation.

According to the Media Monitoring Institute, three TVN Group channels: TVN24, TVN and TVN CNBC Biznes were among five the most opinion-making television stations in 2008. Onet.pl ranked first, far ahead of other internet portals. TVN24 was acknowledged to be the most opinion-forming television channel in Poland in 2008. The first Polish 24-hour news channel was quoted by other media 4792, recording a significant increase when compared to 3529 quotations in 2007. TVN channel, quoted 2116 times (1385 times in 2007) was second, TVPInfo quoted 903 times was third, TVP1 with 670 quotations was forth and TVN CNBS Biznes, quoted 554 times, was the most opinion-forming source number five. The position of unquestionable leader in the Internet belongs to Onet.pl. Being quoted by other media 1997 times, Onet.pl was ranked significantly ahead of its competitors: Interia.pl (713 times), Wp.pl (552 times), Money.pl (444 times) and TVN24.pl (431 times). Media Monitoring Institute analysed 84110 media messages, which appeared in 900 press titles, selected TV and radio stations and numerous internet sources, between January 1st and December 31st, 2008.

10.03.2009 - "Love and Dance" - breaking Polish Box Office records!
"Love and Dance" ("Kochaj i tańcz"), produced by TVN and distributed by ITI Cinema attracted a record breaking audience on its opening weekend. The long awaited premiere of the first Polish dance movie met huge public interest, recording an audience of 393 803, the best result for a Polish movie since 1999. Not since the premiere of "Pan Tadeusz" has a Polish production reached such heights - this is proof that the Poles eagerly embrace local productions, which provide world class entertainment. The amazing dance scenes of "Love and Dance" are set against an "against all odds" love story, which turning the world of the main characters upside down. The film stars Iza Miko and Matuesz Damięcki. Supporting roles are played by Katarzyna Figura, Katarzyna Herman, Krzysztof Globisz and Rafał Królikowski. The professional actors were supported by some of Poland's finest dancers amongst which were the finalist of the television programme "You Can Dance - po prosu tańcz!" - Ania Bosak i Rafał "Roofi" Kamiński. The film was directed by the American film director Bruce Parramore, the director of photography was Bartosz Prokopowicz, whilst the dance scenes were choreographed by Jarosław Staniek.

10.03.2009 - The world's greatest operas "Live in HD" at Multikino.
Multikino "Zlote Tarasy" in Warsaw, "Stary Browar" in Poznan and the Multikino at Pasaz Grunwaldzki in Wroclaw will show high-definition performances of the world's most popular operas. "La Traviata" will be the very first opera broadcast live from the Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Belgium. 03.03.2009 - TVN announces spring programming schedule and its fine perfomance in February 2009.
In March, traditionally marking the beginning of the spring season, TVN will launch a new schedule including continuation of its most popular programs and series. TVN will broadcast the ninth edition of our entertainment show "Taniec z Gwiazdami" and the fourth edition of "You can dance po prostu tańcz!" In addition to that TVN will broadcast new seasons of its most popular series, such as "Teraz albo nigdy!", "39 i pół" and "Niania". TVN will also broadcast new episodes of other programs attracting millions of viewers, including our quiz show "Milionerzy", the "Szymon Majewski Show" and "Kuba Wojewódzki". The 2009 spring season will boost a very strong movie line up featuring blockbusters such as "Superman Returns", "Mr. and Mrs. Smith", "The Lake House", "Monster in Law", "The Island" and "Taking Lives" among many others. In addition we will broadcast new seasons of top foreign series, such as "NAVY NCIS IV", "Dexter II" and "The Sopranos VI".
In February 2009 TVN channel further improved its all day audience share results, confirming its dominant position in the key target group. TVN was the only one of four big television channels in Poland to record a share increase in that category. In the basic commercial target group in February, TVN was the second most widely watched television channel in peak time. In February 2009, on a nationwide basis the TVN channel achieved 18.4% of audience share in peak time. TVN maintained the position of the second most widely watched television channel in peak time, even tough it reaches only 87% of households in Poland.

Cyfrowy Polsat and TVN Group signed an agreement extending for several years the presence of TVN channels within the offering of Poland's largest DTH satellite operator. The agreement covers the distribution of 6 channels produced by the TVN Group: TVN, TVN 7, TVN24, TVN Turbo, TVN Meteo and TVN Style. TVN and TVN 7 are free to air channels offered within the following Cyfrowy Polsat packages: Mini Package, Mini Max Package and the Family Package, which on aggregate reach over 2.7 million Polish households. 02.02.2009 - "Przez-pokolenia.pl", a new community initiative by Onet.pl.
"Przez-pokolenia.pl", a joint project by Onet.pl, UPC Polska, Eurobank, Information Society Development Foundation (FRSI), and the Polish-American Freedom Foundation, aims at building and enhancing cross generation family bonds, as well as resolving technological barriers between the young and the old . "Historia z myszka" ("History with a mouse"), the recent competition conducted within the "przez-pokolenia.pl" project, required contestants to deliver a photo and a related family story. The concept involving young and older family members, resulted in an online gallery of over two thousand posts, and gives an interesting insight into the Polish contemporary history. Przez-pokolenia.pl is thought to serve as a a platform for young people to help the elderly to develop an interest in the Internet, as well as to learn how to use it. For example, one of the main sections (next to "Guides" organized in subsections such as "On the Internet" or "Finance with Eurobank"), is the "UPC e-Senior Academy", a guidebook to the Internet providing advice, and useful tips on how to browse the web, how to use the electronic mail, how to search and shop online.

12.01.2009 - The Great Orchestra of the Christmas Charity Foundation campaign on Onet.pl and Zumi.pl.
Onet.pl and Zumi.pl, the online location finder, joined forces to support The Great Orchestra of the Christmas Charity Foundation campaign (WOŚP). An extensive coverage of the final event of this year's campaign was available on the homepage of Onet.pl and on mobile phones through lajt.onet.pl. Zumi.pl assisted all those interested in locating the nearest money collection stand. Starting on 08.01.2009 Onet.pl has been placing WOSP's announcements on the 17th Finale of the The Great Orchestra of the Christmas Charity Foundation campaign, which took place on 11.01.2009.
