Grand Press 2008 - Bogdan Rymanowski, TVN24's journalist and the host of TVN's "Kawa na ławę" programme was acknowledged for his professionalism and the highest ethical standards with the "Journalist of the Year 2008" award. TVN triumphed in the main Grand Press 2008 category. Anna Ferens and Ewa Stankiewicz the authors of the TVN's production "Trzech Kumpli" ranked second and third. Szymon Hołownia, publicist of Newsweek Polska, Religia.tv's programming director and co-host of the TVN's "Mam Talent!" entertainment show ranked fourth. Beata Biel from Superwizjer TVN was acknowledged with the Grand Press 2008 award in the "Television Reportage" category. The Grand Press awards cover a range of categories, from printed stories to radio and TV reporting, the survey is conducted by the "Press" magazine. 665 media messages were nominated to this years Grand Press awards. It has been the highest number in 12 years history of the contest. (December, 2008)

The Freedom of Speech Award - Ewa Stankiewicz and Anna Ferens - the authors of the "Trzech kumpli" (Three buddies) documentary produced by TVN were awarded with the Polish Journalist's Association's Freedom of Speech Award. The reportage of TVN's journalists Przemysław Wojciechowski and Witold Gadowski was acknowledged to be the best in the investigative material category. The Polish Journalist's Association's Award, given to the publications promoting the democracy and the rule of law, is a Polish equivalent of the American Pulitzer Price. Only the materials published in the Polish press or Internet or broadcasted on the radio and television can be nominated for the award. 290 publications took part in this year's contest. MARQA 2008 - For the fourth time in a row TVN was acknowledged to be Poland's most valuable media brand and came in 7th in the overall brand ranking. The "MARQA 2008" ranking is conducted by Rzeczpospolita. TVN received the highest number of points for its brand strength, perceived value, prestige, quality and customer loyalty. According to the MARQA ranking, two other TVN Group brands: TVN24 and TVN 7 are within the top 10 media brands in Poland. MARQA is a brand ranking based on financial data as well as detailed consumer opinion's survey. It is a review of the most valuable brands present on the Polish market. (December, 2008)

Pearls of the Polish Economy - Bozena Walter, President of the TVN Foundation "you are not alone", was presented an honorary award in the Polish Economy Pearl ranking in the category promoting social values. The ranking is organized by the English-language Polish Market Economic Magazine in collaboration with the Institute of Economics at the Polish Academy of Sciences. The honorary patronage was assumed by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Economy Waldemar Pawlak, and the President of the Polish Academy of Sciences Professor Michal Kleiber. MediaTory 2008 - TVN journalists are among the laureates of the students' journalist awards. Bogdan Rymanowski came up as winner in the category "auTORytet" ("Authority"). Ewa Stankiewicz and Anna Ferens received an award in the category "DetonaTOR" for their film "Three fellows", and Szymon Holownia received an award in the category "NavigaTOR". Wojciech Cejrowski, host of TVN Style's show "Po mojemu" ("In my own way") was acknowledged in the category "AccumulaTOR". Kontakt TVN24 was awarded in the category "PromoTOR" ("Promoter"), and the joint coverage by TVN and TVP of the Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation was acknowledged in the category "InitiaTOR". The MediaTory awards are granted by the students of journalism in recognition of those people in media who contribute to the right image of this profession. (November, 2008)

Media Festival "Man in Danger" Award - two of Discovery Historia TVN's documentaries received an awarded at the 17th Media Festival "Man in Danger" in Lodz. "Little town of Kroke", a documentary directed by Natlia Schmidt and Kuba Karys, received an award from the President of the Foundation Monumentum Iudaicum Lodzense - Lodz Jewish Heritage Foundation. "Fairy tales from the land of chimneys", a documentary by Andrzej B. Czulda, was granted an award from the President of the Polish Fimmakers Association. The Media Festival "Man in Danger" screens Polish documentaries covering a social non-tolerance, pathology and problems resulting from political and social transformations. (November, 2008)

Ubi Caritas 2007 - TVN Foundation " you are not alone" was acknowledged by the catholic charity organization, "Caritas Polska" in the category "cooperation with Caritas". Ubi Caritas award recognizes and promotes individuals and companies collaborating with diocesan Caritas branches and Caritas Polska. TVN Foundation "you are not alone" cooperates with Caritas in providing help to the victims of Asian tsunami. (October, 2008)

Best Image - TVN, defeating hundred opponents, was acknowledged to be the polish company having the best image. TVN's position in the ranking improved, compared to its second rank in 2007. Grupa Onet, was ranked fourth. Besides TVN and Grupa Onet, only one other media company, Agora, was listed in the ranking reaching 43rd position. Image Profile research commissioned by Manager Magazin monthly among managers representing over 500 companies, proved TVN's leadership. Manager Magazin, verifying the quality of the production and services, innovativeness, client approach, growth dynamics and advertisement with PR, has been analyzing the image of German companies from over 20, and Polish from 3 years. The aim of the ranking conducted among the most demanding market reviewers, is to recognize the companies with the best image in all of the categories. (October 2008)

Best Investor Relations - TVN Group was awarded as the media company having the best investor relations in Europe. The ranking by the "Institutional Investor", the leading industry magazine, placed TVN Group on top of all European media companies. The European Equities Investor Relations is a prestigious survey verifying both, quality and effectiveness of investor relations communications in 30 categories. It is based on a survey of more than 1,350 sell-side analysts who evaluate the quality of the companies investor relations communications. (October 2008)

Camera Obscura 2008 - jury of the 5th International Festival of TV Reportage the "Camera Obscura 2008" named the documentary by Krzysztof Spiechowicz, "Secrets of Jaroszewiczs' death", in the category "investigative journalism" as an exemplification in its best form of this very genre in journalism. The "Camera Obscura" is the only festival in Europe to focus on a TV reportage as a sole, independent journalistic form of expression dedicated to creation of a "chronicle of our time". Off Camera 2008 - Wojciech Bojanowski,TVN 24 was acknowledged during the 1st International Festival of Independent Cinema, "Off Camera", for the short story "Oto lzy me i pokuta" ("These are my tears and penance") a short film shot with the mobile phone. The Festival, Poland's first large format event devoted to Polish and international independent cinema, was organized by the "Off Camera" Society for Independent and Other Arts, as a part of the cultural project "6 senses" conducted by the City of Cracow. Master of Polish Speech - Tomasz Sianecki, journalist of TVN and TVN 24, is a laureate of the 8th Master of the Polish Speech contest. Tomasz Sianecki was recognized for his "continuing popularization of public discourse canons", taking into consideration not only the ethics and correctness of language but also personal culture and cultivated communication style. Amber Lions - ITI Cinema was presented the award for Best Distribution at the 33nd Polish Films Festival in Gdynia. The award is measured by attendance for "Katyn" directed by Andrzej Wajda. The most influential manager of Polish culture - Dariusz Gasiorawski, manager responsible for fiction production at TVN, is among the "50 most influential managers of Polish culture" as announced by the Polityka magazine. Charlie's Blue Bowler Hat 2008 - TVN and TVN 24 programs were awarded during the 9th Humor Festival, which took place in Gdynia. The comedy series, "39 i pol" ("39 and half") directed by Lukasz Palkowski was awarded as the "funniest sitcom" whereas the "Szymon Majewski Show", directed by Marta Wiech and Rafal Piekoszewski, was recognized as the "funniest talk show". The audience award for the favorite entertainment show, was presented to "Szklo kontaktowe" ("Lens"), the satiric magazine of TVN 24. The Humor Festival targets to acknowledge the best entertainment products from television, radio and drawing satire artwork.

Premium Brand 2008 - once again TVN has been presented a Premium Brand award. TVN has been recognized as the number 1 premium brand in the general ranking. TVN is competing with such brands renown brands as E.Wedel, Nivea, Sony, Danone, Zywiec and Nokia. Additionally, TVN has been acknowledged as the premium brand in the "media" category. The Premium brand survey is based on consumers' voting and the following criteria have been used to determine the ranking: consumer trust and loyalty, prestige, good image, popularity and brand awareness, CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) and so called references, understood as consumer readiness to recommend the brand to the others. Wladyslaw Grabski Award - TVN CNBC Biznes channel was presented Wladyslaw Grabski Honorary Award by the President of the National Bank of Poland. The business channel has been acknowledged for its broad variety of topics, understandable language, high quality of programs and professionalism of the editorial team. Rafal Hirsz of TVN CNBC Biznes was recognized as the best economic oriented journalists. Wladyslaw Grabski awards are given based on a survey conducted by the National Bank of Poland, Reuters Polska and the Polish Journalists Association. The survey aims to recognize journalists, who through their work contribute to the development of a general economic knowledge in society. (June, 2008)

Student Product of the Year 2008 - TVN for the fourth time is among the most student friendly brands and was named the "Student Product of the Year 2007" in the category Student Medium. Szymon Majewski has been also acknowledged in the category "coolture" for the Szymon Majewski Show. Student Product of the Year is a survey by the Media Point Group Sp. z o.o., publisher of the "Dlaczego" magazine and provider of the Internet service www.korba.pl. The survey aims to recognize the most popular and most attractive brands and products for students as well as to bring the attention the student community as the consumer group. (June, 2008)

BAZAR - "Airport", the documentary produced by Martyna Aftyka, Tymoteusz Drozdz, Maciej Glinka and Maciej Wojcik from the UWAGA editorial team was awarded the BAZAR for innovatory approach on economic matters. The BAZAR was presented during this year's National Documentary Film Festival. Out of more than a hundred competing documentaries, the jury admitted 35 to the Festival and acknowledged 11 of them with awards. Among the award winners were TVN 24's "Fakty, Ludzie, Pieniadze" ("Facts, People, Money...") and "Ostatnie pietro" ("The top floor"). The BAZAR National Documentary Film Festival is one of Poland's most important events focusing on the socio-economic journalism in television. Golden Pen - a documentary by Agnieszka Cegielska, TVN 24, "On the other side of the camera", was presented the "Golden Pen" award from the The Croatian National Tourist Board. Cegileska's documentary produced by Jakub Goller in cooperation with Jacek Roczniak (camera) and Katarzyna Blaszczyk (editor) was competing among the others with "Le Droit de Savoir" by Luc Laboz's produced for French National Television TF 2 and the documentary by Mike London made for British BBC World's. Golden Pen awards are given to press, television and radio journalists for the most interesting reports on Croatia. (June, 2008)

Wiktory 2007 - TVN and TVN 24 journalists are among this year winners of the Wiktor statuettes, the most prestigious awards given from The Polish Television Academy. Justyna Pochanke won in the category "the best TV presenter", Bogdan Rymanowski was awarded in the category "the most recognized commentator and publicist", and Szymon Majewski was acknowledged for "creating the best television program". Kinga Rusin, host of "You can dance - Po prostu tancz" received the audience award. Wiktory 2007 took place for the 23nd time this year, the awards of the Polish Television Academy consisting of Wiktor winners are presented to the most outstanding television personalities. Libertas et Auxilium - The TVN Uwaga team has been presented a special award in this year "Libertas et Auxilium" survey conducted by the Polish Journalists Association, the Adam Smith Center and the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection. Among the nominees was TVN journalist Lukasz Spisak recognized for his documentary "Zywa Kropla Krwi" ("A drop of blood alive") broadcast in "TVN Uwaga". "Libertas at Auxilium" awards aim to recognize high quality press articles, radio or television programs dedicated to competition and consumer protection which significantly influence public opinion. Ideal Employer 2008 - ITI Group has been ranked the "ideal employer" in the category "humanistic sciences" in the Polish Student Survey. The survey aims to identify students' preferences and expectations concerning their career planning and development, to verify the image of Polish employers as well as to check what criteria define a perfect workplace. This year's survey covered 130 companies assessed by 10'000 students. (May 2008)

Reader's Digest European Trusted Brands 2008 - TVN has been awarded the most trusted brand title for the seventh time in row. According to the survey's data 50% of respondents named TVN the most trusted brand in the category "television station" ahead of Polsat and TVP which recorded 21% and 12% votes respectively. European Trusted Brands is a multi-country study of consumer attitudes conducted annually since 2001 by Reader's Digest magazin. This year's research covered 16 European countries. 23'500 respondents named their favorite brands, judging by such criteria as high quality, value for money, strong image, understanding of consumer needs, which were then presented the Crystal Statuette and Crystal Emblem of Trusted Brand 2008 awards. Poland's most valuable media company - TVN was acknowledged as the most valuable Polish media company in the fifth edition of "Poland's 100 most valuable companies" conducted by Newsweek magazine in cooperation with A.T Kearney, the management consulting company. The ranking compared a few hundreds of companies showing the highest revenues in 2007 based on which an estimated value was assumed to determine a company's position in the ranking. (April, 2008)

Superbrands 2008 - TVN24 was named the "Business Superbrand" and has been acknowledged as the strongest and best recognized B2B (business-to business) brand on the Polish market. TVN and Onet.pl, as in previous years, rank among Poland's strongest brands and were presented a "Superbrad Polska" award. The specific brand reputation is examined by the Brand Council, which is made up of marketing, advertising and branding experts. The "Superbrand" statuettes are presented to brands which hold a very strong position within their respective industries and are providing significant contribution to their consumers' lives. The Superbrands organization, which currently operates in 70 countries worldwide, was established in the nineties in London and aims to promote successful brands consequently building their position within local markets. Media Trendy 2008 - Grupa Onet.pl is among this year laureates for the "Innovation in Mass Media - Media Trendy" competition conducted by the Association of Advertising Agencies. Grupa Onet.pl was acknowledged in the category "Debut of the Year" for the launch of Poland's first online location finder, Zumi. Dariusz Fikus Award - Kuba Sufin, Head of the tvn24.pl portal, won the Dariusz Fikus 2007 award in the category "Media creator". Kuba Sufin was acknowledged for the "creation of a user friendly Internet service". The Dariusz Fikus award is named after a prominent journalist promoting the idea of independent media and is awarded by Rzeczpospolita daily and its publisher Presspublica. (March, 2008)

Sharp Pens 2007 - Roman Mlodkowski and Cezary Krolak, Programming Director and Journalist of the TVN CNBC Biznes channel, are among this years laureates of the "Sharp Pens" journalist award granted by the Business Centre Club. Roman Mlodkowki has been presented the special award as outstanding media representatives, chief-editors and journalists, who actively promote the free market economy in Poland as well as the development of the civil society. Impactor 2007 - Piotr Walter, Chief Executive Officer of TVN S.A., was named "Man of the year in the media and advertising industry" for the third time in row. Piotr Walter has been acknowledged for the "consequent continuation of the strategic expansion of the TVN Group and the development of a modern television station". In previous years he was recognized for his visionary and influential role in the development of the Polish television market in Poland (2006 award), and for the successful debut of the TVN Group on the Warsaw Stock Exchange and TVN's outstanding financial performance (2005 award). The Impactors are granted by the Polish Advertising and Media Academy to those, whose activities within media industry are considered especially admirable and respectful. (February, 2008)

Mieczyslaw Orlowicz Award - TVN journalist, Olivier Janiak received the Mieczyslaw Orlowicz award for the series, "Projekt plaza" ("Beach project"), promoting the touristic and cultural attractions of Polish seaside resorts. The Mieczyslaw Orlowicz award is given as a result of a competition, which is part of the Polish local promotional campaign, conducted by the Polish Tourist organization in cooperation with the Association of journalists of Rzeczpospolita Polska and the Tourist Journalism Club. Hit IT 2007 - n, the new generation television has been recognized as "Hit IT of the year 2007" in the "household electronics" category in the survey conducted by Bauer Publishing. The n platform was acknowledged for introducing High Definition Television on the Polish market and forcing competition to upgrade their services. The survey was based on the SMS voting by readers of 4 major IT publications by Bauer: PC Format, Next, CD Action and Click! , which nominated 62 products in 12 categories to compete for the "Hit IT 2007" title. Social Solidarity Medal - Bozena Walter, President of the TVN Foundation "you are not alone" has been presented the Social Solidarity Medal, an award of the Business Centre Club and "Hope", the Warsaw Archdiocese Foundation for Poor and Unemployed. Bozena Walter has been recognized for her social involvement and bringing help to those in need, as well as for promoting the idea of a social responsibility within business environment, and for contributing to the development of a social solidarity. Best Stock Market Company of the Year 2007 - for the second consecutive year TVN has been ranked the "Best Stock Market Company of the Year 2007" by a survey conducted for the 9 th time by Puls Biznesu and the Penator Institute. 180 experts, ranging from stock brokers, analysts to investment advisors participated in the survey, which seeks to assess listed companies board management' competence, quality of provided product and services, investor relations, growth and development perspectives and last year performance as well as stock performance. TVN was recognized for its growth perspectives, the company was ranked top in the "development prospect" category, and furthermore for its professional management board, product quality and investor relations. TVN, managed by Piotr Walter, was ranked top stock market company a year ago for the first time and it is the first company in the ranking history to retain the title for two consecutive years. Sport Sponsor and Investor of the Year 2007 - The Warsaw City Hall and "Zycie Warszawy" (Warsaw daily) honored the ITI Group with the title "Sport Sponsor and the Investor of the Year" in recognition of its remarkable involvement in the development of professional sport in Poland's Capital City. Telekamery 2008 - TVN journalists: Justyna Pochanke, Tomasz Sekielski and Andrzej Morozowski have been presented the "Telekamery 2008" awards. Justyna Pochanke won the award in the "news" category, and Tomasz Sekielski and Andrzej Morozwski have been awarded in the category "Publicyzm". Awards were also presented to TVN for its series "Niania" and "Kryminalni" which won in their respective categories of "comedy" and "crime" series. The leading actors of the "Niania" and "Magda M" series, Agnieszka Dygant and Pawel Maluszynski respectively were presented the statuettes for best actress and the best actor. Pawel Maluszynski was also presented a "Super Telekamera of the Year", the audience award resulting from the sms voting. Zlota Telekamera ("Golden Telecamera"), the honorary award was presented to Kamil Durczok, the head and host of TVN's prime time news show, "Fakty". Telekamery awards are given by the Polish leading TV magazin "Tele Tydzien" whose readers select their favourite celebrities and television programs every year. (February, 2008)

Polish Film Institute Award - ITI Cinema has been awarded in the category "Polish film distribution" by the Polish Film Institute (PISF). PISF awards are given to the individuals and institutions devoted to the cinema exhibiting great passion and dedication.This year awards were given in 11 categories for achievements over the past two years. The PISF awards ceremony took place on 21.01.2008 in Multikino Zlote Tarasy in Warsaw. (January, 2008)

Malopolska Journalist Award 2007 - the editor-in-chief of Tygodnik Powszechny, Father Adam Boniecki received the Malopolska Journalist 2007 award and was acknowledged as "journalist of the year". Father Boniecki received the nomination for " his extensive knowledge in philosophy, bioethics and sociology and his ability to present very thoughtful and independent opinions while discussing the most complex matters". Additionally, Joanna Bukowska and Marcin Wojcik, journalists of TVN's Uwaga show, were awarded in the category "investigative journalist" for their documentary, "Do you want to steal?", about illegal traffic in women and forcing Polish people in Sweden to steal, which resulted in Swedish police investigating the matter. The Malopolska Journalists competition is a local initiative of journalists recognizing the best of them and recognizing extraordinary achievements in favor of the community living in the Malopolaska region. Wektory 2007 - the journalist and Programming Director of TVN CNBC, Roman Mlodkowski is among the Wektory 2007 laureates, the awards by the Confederation of Polish Employers. Roman Mlodkowski has been acknowledged for his "journalistic credibility and knowledge, and for the unfailing promoting of free market rules and healthy economics". Wektory awards are presented to individuals contributing to the development of the social and economic environment in Poland. (January, 2008)
